Oak Leasing is a bespoke pan-European funding facilitator for equipment finance across the UK and Europe. We arrange leasing in 30+ countries through 40+ funders — from Mittelstand manufacturers in Germany to vendor networks across Iberia and the Nordics.
Europe is not one leasing market. It is thirty-plus markets, each with its own tax code, accounting rules, regulator and funder appetite. A finance lease written for a German GmbH works differently from the same deal for a Portuguese sociedade anónima.
This page is Oak Leasing's working reference for arranging equipment finance across Europe: by country, by structure and by deal size — with a live calculator for indicative rentals. Everything here comes from more than three decades of cross-border transactions, not generic editorial.
Each country page covers the local regulatory environment, typical lease structures, the funder landscape and how Oak Leasing operates there.
One of Europe's largest leasing markets, with a deep Mittelstand manufacturing base and BaFin-supervised leasing companies. Our DACH coverage extends to Austria and Switzerland.

The lessor keeps meaningful residual value risk.
Title passes to the customer at the end, usually for a nominal option fee.
Sell an owned asset to a funder and lease it straight back.
Manufacturers and distributors offer finance at the point of sale.

Green leasing, with pricing tied to environmental performance or qualifying clean-tech assets, is moving into mainstream use in Germany, the Netherlands and the Nordics.
Reshoring and EU investment incentives are driving demand for robotics and automation finance, supported by healthy secondary markets for the assets.
AI-capable infrastructure is shortening refresh cycles, pushing renewed demand for operating leases and flexible upgrade terms across technology and data-centre assets.
European equipment leasing lets a business use machinery, technology, vehicles, medical or industrial assets without buying them outright, paying fixed rentals over an agreed term. Oak Leasing arranges these facilities across 30+ European countries through a panel of 40+ funders.
Each country has its own tax treatment, accounting conventions, regulator and legal forms of lease, such as crédit-bail in France or locação financeira in Portugal. Oak Leasing works with local-law funders in each market so the structure is correct for that jurisdiction.
Standard transactions run from €100,000 to €10 million (or GBP equivalent). Within an approved vendor leasing programme, deals from €10,000 are considered. Large-asset refinance and sale and leaseback facilities are available up to €100 million per transaction.
Oak Leasing is a funding facilitator, not a lender. Arrangement fees are typically paid by the funder when the facility is activated, not by the client or vendor.
The calculator gives an indicative rental at 6.5% APR, excluding VAT and local taxes. Your actual rate depends on credit profile, asset type, term, currency and jurisdiction, and is confirmed by the funder.
Transactions above €500,000 are structured individually, usually placed with the most suitable of several funders, residual value and currency considerations. A European Funding Director will price these directly.
Facilities can be arranged in EUR, GBP, SEK, PLN, CZK and other European currencies, including multi-currency structures where the lessee and the asset sit in different countries.
Oak Leasing Ltd was established in 1992 and is a bespoke pan-European funding facilitator for equipment finance across the UK and Europe. Our panel of 40+ funders spans bank-owned lessors, captive finance companies, specialist asset financiers and alternative credit providers.
We do not lend — we arrange. That independence means our recommendation is always the structure and funder best suited to the requirement, not the product we happen to hold. Oak Leasing is a founding member of the Guild of Business Finance Professionals.
