Why lease medical equipment

Predictable Costs. Current Technology. Capital Kept for Patient Care.

Medical equipment leasing lets hospitals, clinics, surgeries, laboratories and veterinary practices use high-value clinical technology for fixed monthly rentals instead of a single capital outlay.

Rentals can be matched to income, reimbursement and contract cycles. Installation, software, accessories and service contracts can sit inside one agreement. At term end, equipment can be upgraded rather than run to obsolescence — critical in imaging, where technology moves faster than most depreciation schedules.

Oak Leasing Ltd is a bespoke pan-European funding facilitator for equipment finance across the UK and Europe, established 1992. We are not a lender: we place each transaction with the funder on our 40+ panel best suited to the asset, sector and country.

  • Finance lease — fixed rentals, typically tax-deductible; secondary rental, sale or renewal at term end.
  • Operating lease — funder carries residual risk; lower rentals and built-in upgrade paths for imaging and IT.
  • Hire purchase — ownership at term end; capital allowances typically available.
  • Sale and leaseback — release capital from equipment already owned, without taking it out of service.
  • Stage payment funding — deposits on European-manufactured equipment funded before delivery (see below).

Stage payment funding for European-manufactured equipment. Where a UK buyer must pay a European manufacturer in stages before delivery, our funder pays each stage, secured by an advance payment guarantee. You pay only interest on deposits as they are made until the equipment is delivered — a structure most main clearing banks walk away from.
